In line with the European Union FGAS Regulation, from 4th July 2009 it became a legal requirement for all businesses that install, maintain or service stationary refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat-pump equipment that contain refrigerants, to hold a Company Certificate issued by an appointed Company Certification Body like REFCOM. In addition, the FGAS Regulation which came into force on 4th July 2007 requires companies and other organisations with air conditioning plant to ensure that the fluorinated greenhouse gases are contained within the systems. All engineers at KDR are trained to the required standard, to assist companies in meeting the demands for adequate labelling and record-keeping required by the new law. Companies must have equipment containing these refrigerants regularly tested. All relevant plant must be clearly labelled and maintained and comprehensive records kept. Records must be made available for inspection by enforcement officers. We can arrange a comprehensive FGAS package together with maintenance shedules, fully tailored to your requirements and refrigeration system. Please give us a call to discuss what is involved in the new legislation.
